Calvin - God is the Author of ALL Events

As we have already seen in much of Calvin’s teachings that it is having knowledge (Gnosticism) that is first given to man for his salvation. This knowledge has similarities to the “special” Grace that precedes faith that Reformed Teachers bring forth. As we see in the following it is this “knowledge which alone quickens dead souls” that enables the receivers to understand that it is God who is the “sole author and disposer of all events”.

John Calvin [a.d. 1509-1564]

To this first knowledge was afterwards added the more intimate knowledge which alone quickens dead souls, and by which God is known not only as the Creator of the worlds and the sole author and disposer of all events, but also as a Redeemer, in the person of the Mediator.

So every murder, every act of evil is not brought forth by free moral agents authored not by the sinful heart of man or the desire and purpose of demonic entities, but according to Calvin it is God alone who is the sole author of these events.

This is NOT the God of the Bible and it is NOT what the scriptures teach! DO NOT BE DECIEVED!!

James 1:13-17
13 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone. 14 But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. 15 Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death. 16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. 17 Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.

This is nothing less than a doctrine of demons as warned about in the scriptures.

1 Timothy 4:1
4 But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons,

So in replacing faith with knowledge we can see clearly the fruits of the doctrines of Calvin.

Calvin continues

John Calvin [a.d. 1509-1564]

Institutes of the Christian Religion - Chapter 23 - Section 6

http://www.ccel.org/ccel/calvin/institutes.v.xxiv.html

“Now, since the arrangement of all things is in the hand of God, since to Him belongs the disposal of life and death, He arranges all things by His sovereign counsel, in such a way that individuals are born, who are doomed from the womb to certain death, and are to glorify Him by their destruction.”

So, according to Calvin instead of a Holy God we have replaced him with someone who has the same goals and objectives of Satan and the other fallen demons. This all "glorifies" him by their destruction.

You have to wonder how Calvin came to his understanding of the character of God when he once again brings forth some more blasphemes.

Those, therefore, whom God passes by he reprobates, and that for no other cause but because he is pleased to exclude them from the inheritance which he predestines to his children.

So for no other cause than he is pleased to pass by the reprobates.

Calvin Continues and we will see that he will now dismiss one the primary attributes of God (His Omnescience and Foreknowledge) replacing it with the explanation that this simply amounts to necessity "simply because he has decreed that they are so to happen".

John Calvin [a.d. 1509-1564]

Institutes of the Christian Religion - Chapter 23 - Section 6

http://www.ccel.org/ccel/calvin/institutes.v.xxiv.html

"If God merely foresaw human events, and did not also arrange and dispose of them at his pleasure, there might be room for agitating the question, how far his foreknowledge amounts to necessity; but since he foresees the things which are to happen, simply because he has decreed that they are so to happen, it is vain to debate about prescience, while it is clear that all events take place by his sovereign appointment".

Calvin continues to explain that it is God "determined with Himself whatever He wished to happen with regard to every man". and "All are not created on equal terms, but some are preordained to eternal life, others to eternal damnation"

This is exactly as the early Gnostics for some were by nature Material Men and doomed, and the Gnostics were by nature Spiritual and the elect seed.

John Calvin [a.d. 1509-1564]

Institutes of the Christian Religion - Chapter 21 - Section 5
http://www.ccel.org/ccel/calvin/institutes.v.xxii.html

“By predestination we mean the eternal decree of God, by which He determined with Himself whatever He wished to happen with regard to every man. All are not created on equal terms, but some are preordained to eternal life, others to eternal damnation; and, accordingly, as each has been created for one or other of these ends, we say that he has been predestined to life or to death.”

We finish with the following. It is no wonder that those that mistake Calvinism for being Christian and come to the conclussion rightfully so that the God of the bible is evil.

“Should all the sons of Adam come to dispute and contend with their Creator, because by his eternal providence they were before their birth doomed to perpetual destruction”
