The Early Church Fathers - The Atonement

As we saw with the Gnostic, Stoic, Augustinian, and Calvinist teachings that all things are predetermined and salvation is something that is determined by God alone and man can do nothing at all in regards to salvation.

 

Here we see in the writings of John Chrysostom that he reveals that it was the Manachean Gnostics of his time that "spring upon these words" and use John 6:44 exactly as the Calvinst's do today.
