Conditional Predestination
The truth is Conditional Predestination is not only found in the scriptures, but has also been taught since the writings of the Apostolic Church Fathers. The Eastern Churches have continued in this Doctrine up until this day, and in the Western Churches continued in this Doctrine into the 5th Century. It was not until the influence of Augustine around 396 A.D that this Doctrine was changed and Roman Catholicism took over much of the Western Churches.
Conditional Predestination is based on the scriptural teachings of Gods attributes of Love, Patience, Kindness, Justice, and Mercy. He desires and wills that all men would believe and come to repentance. He loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. The LORD God Almighty always knows what the future would hold, and by his Sovereignty and through His foreknowledge He has determined, defined, and set boundaries and limits to all that would occur.
He made the human race with the power of thought and of choosing the truth and doing right, so that all men are without excuse before God, for they have been born rational and contemplative. This doctrine of Free Will and Choosing is proclaimed in the scriptures and by Jesus and was also taught by the Apostolic Fathers and the Christian Churches for the first four centuries in the Western Churches and continues to this day in the Eastern Churches.
God invites all men to the wedding and it is up to man to accept the invitation in faith.
